Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Pluck (the "Service"), including our Chrome extension and website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Pluck is a Chrome extension and web application that enables users to:

• • Analyze data tables and files found on websites
• • Perform SQL queries on data using DuckDB
• • Export data in various formats (CSV, JSON, Excel, etc.)
• • Process data locally in the browser for privacy
• • Access premium features with paid subscriptions

User Accounts and Authentication

When you create an account with us, you may use:

• • Email and password authentication
• • Google OAuth sign-in
• • Other third-party authentication providers we may add

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Privacy and Data Processing

Pluck is designed with privacy as a core principle:

• • Local Processing: Your data files are processed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly
• • No Data Upload: We do not upload, store, or transmit your data files to our servers
• • Minimal Collection: We only collect basic usage analytics and account information
• • Third-Party Data: When you analyze data from websites, you are responsible for ensuring you have permission to access and analyze that data

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Pluck only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• • Use the Service to access or analyze data without proper authorization
• • Violate any website's terms of service or robots.txt when extracting data
• • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service
• • Use the Service to transmit malicious code or conduct security attacks
• • Resell, redistribute, or create derivative works of the Service

Subscription and Payments

Pluck offers both free and paid tiers:

• • Free Tier: Limited monthly analyses with basic features
• • Pro Tier: One-time payment for unlimited individual use
• • Team/Enterprise: Monthly subscriptions with collaboration features

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. For subscription services, you may cancel at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Pluck and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.

Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the data you analyze with Pluck. This includes ensuring you have the right to access and analyze any data, complying with applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR, CCPA), and respecting the terms of service of websites from which you extract data. Pluck provides tools for data analysis but does not grant you rights to access protected or proprietary data.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Service or the information, content, or materials included therein. While we strive for accuracy and reliability, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Pluck, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may discontinue using the Service.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the European Union and the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
